Sixth Form

We expect Dame Alice girls to do well in their GCSEs and our expectations continue into the Sixth Form where study is mainly, but not exclusively, aimed at entry into Higher Education.  Entry into our Sixth Form for all girls is conditional upon both good GCSE grades and a commitment to further study.  A number of girls join us from other schools at this stage of their education and our induction programme ensures that they settle quickly into the School.  For the girls who have moved up through the School, close liaison between the Sixth Form Team and the Upper School staff ensures a smooth transition.


For the two years that your daughter is studying in the Sixth Form her teaching groups will be limited to a smaller number of students so that we can concentrate on giving each girl a great deal of individual attention.  The Head of Sixth Form, Senior Tutor and the Form Tutors are committed to ensuring that each girl achieves the best results she can.
