Eco School Plan
On 6th October 2008, we will be launching our Eco School Plan for 2008/09 which affirms our commitment to obtaining the Eco-Schools' Green Flag status by the end of 2009.
The Eco-School programme is an international award programme that guides schools on a sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life. Your daughters will be the driving force behind Eco-Schools - they will lead the eco-committee and help carry out an audit to assess the environmental performance of our school. Through consultation with the rest of the school and the wider community it is the girls who will decide which environmental themes they want to address and how they are going to do it. Measuring and monitoring is an integral part of the Eco-Schools programme, providing us with evidence of our environmental success.
We will work towards gaining the prestigious Green Flag award, which symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity and is externally assessed by ENCAMS.
